Samsung has launched captivate in the month of July and just after a month vibrant stepped in the market. With the launch of these two fantabulous handsets Samsung gave a jerk to its competitors. Captivate and vibrant both are fully equipped with all user friendly and hi-tech features. Except few differences both the handset shares same features. Both the handsets are integrated with 4.0 inches Super AMOLED capacitive touchscreen that supports 16M colors with a resolution of 480 x 800 pixels. The display gives quality images with features like the TouchWiz 3.0 UI, Multi-touch input method, Accelerometer sensor for UI auto-rotate, Touch-sensitive controls, Proximity sensor for auto turn-off and Swype text input.Both the smartphones run on Android OS, v2.1 (Eclair) but uses the different processor. Samsung captivate comes with ARM Cortex A8 1GHz processor while vibrant comes with 1GHz Samsung Hummingbird processor. But both are efficient in processing. To store your enormous data like text, contacts, videos and songs both provide an internal memory of 16GB storage, 512 MB RAM and further it can be extended up to 32 GB by using a microSD card slot. They both have a primary camera of 5 mega pixel which is good enough to capture high quality images with a resolution of 2592 x 1944 pixels. Moreover, the camera is supported by features like autofocus, Geo-tagging, touch focus, face and smile detection. Samsung vibrant also has a secondary VGA camera.
Both the deals are available in two beautiful colors black and grey and support messaging features like SMS (threaded view), MMS, Email, Push Mail, IM and RSS. That makes you free to connect your loved ones without calling them. Both the deals share same internet features that include 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPRS and EDGE.One major difference is that Vibrant has a Stereo FM radio with RDS whereas captivate does not have any radio facility.
